Justin Jon Brezovsky

To all of my friends, family and collaborators who read this blog,

I am not even sure where to begin. My heart has absolutely broken into 1 million pieces and will never be the same again. Thursday morning, I found my husband Justin, who had passed away unexpectedly in his sleep. I am still in a state of shock and complete sorrow. My mind cannot even process that this has happened. I feel the worst for Ava, who will now never know her father. She will only know him through the photos, videos, and stories that we have of Justin. Thank you to everyone who has sent their kind wishes and prayers. I appreciate every single one of them. These past few days have been difficult thinking back on all of the wonderful memories and adventures we had been on together in this life. We were recently planning our spring and summer out and to think those plans will never happen now is heartbreaking. I lost my best friend and the love of my life and someone who I was supposed to grow old together with and raise our family.

Justin's Obituary Article

I do not plan on posting here for this week and possibly the next.

The photos above are some of my favorite recent ones. The first two were taken at the end of February on my iPhone. The weather was beautiful and we decided to all go for a walk and then some lunch afterwards. It was a great day and I think those photos reflect that. The next two were taken two weeks after Ava was born for our first family photo shoot together. The last one Justin had asked me to take of him so he would have a professional photo of himself. We actually took it in the living room after we had done the pregnancy announcement photos. It turned out nice and he was so appreciative of it.

Justin specifically asked me to take this photo of him and Ava at the beginning of March this year. I got her all dressed up in her outfit that said Daddy's girl and I could not wait for Justin to see her. His eyes would light up every time he saw Ava and hers would light up whenever she saw Justin. He has only ever asked me to specifically take a few photos of him and this was one of them.

This is an oldie but goodie. It was our first date back in December of 2006 at the Holiday at Hayfield dance. We met each other at Penn State Wilkes-Barre right around Christmas time. It was the perfect first date with the holiday season. We look so different. I remember how nervous I was too. We actually got married in the same room where this dance happened. We thought it would be neat to have it come full circle from our first date to our wedding day.

I hadn't looked at our wedding photos in a while, but when I was starting to gather photos for the viewing, I saw this one and thought how happy we both looked. This was at the reception.

Lastly, a photo from our Honeymoon in Disney World. It's one of my favorite photos of Justin and I together.

Happy Thursday, loves! It's almost the weekend and boy is my plate going to be full! Not only is it Easter weekend, but my dad's birthday also falls on Easter day this year. I've been busy planning out Sunday, making sure to include both festivities into the day.  Does anyone else have any plans for the holiday?

Speaking of this weekend, I'm wearing here what I consider to be my weekend wardrobe staples. A chic button down (extra points for chambray!), skinny jeans, and a pair of heels. I'm crushing on this chambray shirt because of how soft it is and the pretty pearlized buttons. It's those little details that count. It's great for being able to throw on and run out the door or even to dress up with a skirt. I can envision this top with a bright pop of color skirt or even a white one for spring. The possibilities are endless, which is one of the top reasons I'll buy an item. If I can envision myself wearing the item a few different ways and with different items in my closet, then I'm 100% more likely to buy it haha. The accessories make this outfit feel fun with a pop of color from the bag and blue sorbet earrings, to the on trend tassel necklace in a beautiful creamy shade of ivory.

I've always been such a fan of lace. It's completely feminine and delicate. This dress is so stunning with a high-low hem and cinched in waist. The pictures do not do it justice! An intricate leaf design weaves its way through the lace making for a beautiful pattern. Whenever I wear black and white ensembles, I always feel very Parisian. When I saw these sunnies from Polette, I knew I had to have them. I actually needed a new black pair and love how they're outlined in white. The best part? They're only $16.99! They're able to keep the cost down by creating their own lenses, prescription frames for sunnies and everyday glasses are available too, and ship them directly to the customer. The shipping takes about 2 weeks since they're located in France and now looking to expand all over the world. Mine are prescription free since I wear contacts. I do wish the frames were a bit darker, but I love how big they are haha. I'm a fan of bigger sunnies and like how these sit on my face.

I'll also be giving away a pair of their sunglasses or glasses on instagram so make sure to check that out!

On a little side note, I took this photo of Ava and I when I was done photographing the outfit. I thought it would be cute to show you where she always is when I'm out getting outfit shots. We usually take a walk afterwards as long as the weather is nice, i.e. not snowing ;) Regardless of what I'm wearing, we'll take a walk for as long as she's ok. Sometimes, she starts to get fussy, but usually we're able to get one in. Remember the blush formal dress from yesterday? We even did a walk in that haha. I love being able to have her by my side. She's like my little side kick blog buddy <3

Happy Tuesday and happy spring!! I'm so excited for the beautiful blossoms and warm weather to start arriving. Yesterday, we actually had some snow flurries and my heart instantly sank. No more snow haha!

This dress is pure formal elegance. I felt very first ladylike while wearing it! It's a very soft shade of blush with a navy tie at the wasit to break it up. I particularly love the ruching along the side. It's a beautiful detail to add to a simple and sophisticated look. The dress is modest and alluring all at the same time, which makes it a winner in my book!

I'm wearing the custom trays here. You can barely notice them!

Smile Brilliant- Enchanting Elegance

One of the first things people always notice about you is your smile. I love having a clean bright smile and the confidence behind it. I've tried other whitening strips in the past and was always happy with their results, but I wanted to try something a bit more professional without having to sit in a dentists chair and pay the dentist fee. Enter Smile Brilliant. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy their professional home whitening process was, especially with the results. My husband also offered to try their product and could definitely see a result with his use.

For starters, Smile Brilliant sends impression material (the blue and white putty)  to use for creating the trays. After mixing the blue and white putty together, next add the putty into the two blue trays. Bite down for about 2 minutes to create the impression. Leave it dry overnight and then package it up in the pre-paid envelope and send the material back to Smile Brilliant. Side note, I actually used to work for a dental supply company and was fairly familiar with the material, but I had never used it myself so this was fun for me haha. In 1-2 weeks, a custom top and bottom tray will be sent back to you to get started on your teeth whitening experience. There is a teeth whitening gel (green tube) and a desensitizing gel (purple tube) to be used afterwards. I used my whitening gel every night for about 3 weeks. I would leave the trays in for an hour and then use the desensitizing gel for 10-15 minutes after. Justin used his every other night for 1 month. He would leave his in for 1/2 hour and then 10-15 minutes of the desensitizing gel after.  The whitening gel actually opens up the pores of the teeth, which can leave the teeth pretty sensitive so its important to use the desensitizing gel. Neither of us had any trouble with sensitivity while using the product.

As you can see in the before and after photos, I think Justin had the biggest transformation so to say. I can definitely see the difference. My teeth were pretty white to begin with and I can notice a slight whiter appearance to them. I really loved the custom trays and how perfectly they fit. One thing I hated about whitening strips is how they would fall off sometimes. With the custom trays, that never happens and you know the gel is being evenly distributed to each tooth.

Here's a video to help explain the process as well:

Happy Friday! I hope everyone had a fun St. Patrick's day. The weather was horrible in my neck of the woods with multiple thunder storms, but once they stopped, Ava and I did manage to make it out for a walk before the temps drop this weekend. If you saw my post on Instagram two nights ago about how I only got 3 1/2 hours of sleep because I could not put a book down, it was because of this book: Hollywood Dirt. I already finished it and have to say it was one of my favorite recent reads. I tend to devour books in one or two sittings. Has anyone else ever started a book and simply could not put it down?! I cannot be the only one haha.

This past weekend felt like summer had arrived. I immediately went to put on this beautiful off the shoulder crochet top from The Mint Julep Boutique. The detailing is really what drew me in plus the pretty feminine flair. Off the shoulder tops are a trend that is still going strong too. The colors I always associate with spring and summer are white with pops of color. White has a fresh and clean feeling while the pops of color jazz up the outfit. I've been wearing this fuchsia bag everywhere lately. It fits all of my essentials without being bulky and hits right where I want a cross body to. How cute are the duster earrings too?! I love the blush color. It's the perfect statement earrings for an off the shoulder top.

One trend that springs up this time of year (no pun intended ) are floral prints. I love the pretty pink and red rose print and how flowy this dress is! The little collar is darling too. The pleats and flouncyadd a nice touch of whimsy. I went for all bright pink accessories to have a very feminine flair. I really love monochromatic type looks actually. There's something very fun about them! Dresses like this always have a classy feel and can be worn just about anywhere from brunch out with the girls, to date night, or even to church. It really is very versatile.

I wore this out while Justin and I were in Jim Thorpe for the day. I had an oral surgeonconsultation appointment nearby and we decided to head there afterwards. It was the perfect day to just browse around the little shops, grab a bite to eat, and enjoy some latte's while strolling up and down the charming streets.

How cute are these accessories from Ankit?! The mint and pink headphones are right up my alley with the pretty florals and beautiful color combo. I've been using them lately to listen to some music when I'm relaxing at night or when Ava is taking a nap. I've actually been wanting a pair like these since I only have the ear bud style, which end up hurting after a while. These are comfortable and stylish to boot! The blue fields iPhone case is seriously cute. As I mentioned in this post, I love how it's clear and allows the gold from the back of my phone to show though. The blue and gold combo is stunning! The pretty dress fund jar is one of those pieces that make you smile each time you see it. Who can resist metallic gold polka dots?! Saving your money never looked so good ;)

Happy Monday, friends! It's that time of year when guys and dolls start thinking about what to wear to their spring formal or prom. Planning for my own prom was stressful enough and I made sure to have enough time to get all of the details figured out. What style of dress did I want? What color and length? How did I want my hair to look? What type of shoes should I wear? This was the one night I would be able to get all dressed up and feel like a princess heading to a ball. I remember how excited and nervous I was at the same time. I had a blast dancing with my date and some of my friends, while also snapping some photos to capture the memories. It is funny to look back at the photos though haha. I was blown away at how different I look and how much my style has changed. Unfortunately, I do not have a full length photo of the dress. I do have one somewhere in an album at my parents house, but not one saved on my hard drive. It was actually my favorite part because of how flowy it was. Make sure to check out some throwback photos below!

If I could do it all over again, I would definitely wear this dress.  The detailing is exquisite and the full tulle skirt is the stuff that dreams are made of (extra points if you can tell me what movie that line is from!) The top has a soft blush hue with pink sequins and a sexy little cut out hole in the back. That's another reason why I'm so in love with this dress. It's modest, yet has an alluring back and some of the most beautiful detailing I've seen. No lie when I say that this is one of my most favorite dresses that I own. I wanted to wear my hair up for this look because of the back, but usually for every dance I would leave my hair down and curled.

Happy Friday, loves! The temperature these past couple of days has been in the 70s, which feels absolutely incredible. As soon as the weather starts getting warmer, I pull out all of my dresses and start dreaming of all the ways I'll be able to wear them. This dress from Unique Vintage has the prettiest floral pattern and the perfect billowing skirt. I'm wearing an xs for reference. I adore the vintage styling and the fact that it has pockets! Another great feature, the side boning is flexible, which allowes me to actually be able to breathe haha. I've never seen that in a dress before and now I totally believe they should all have it. Removable straps are included if you do not like the strapless look. Vintage dresses are actually a favorite of mine since the 1950s is where I draw so much of my inspiration from. I cannot help but swoon every time I put one on. This dress has all of my vintage fashion fantasies coming true!

Can we also take a second to look at the pretty accessories?! I'm a big believer in the details adding up to make the outfit. These stud earrings will literally glam up any outfit your pair them with while still having a classic feel behind them. The crystal necklace is a pink lovers dream. It's beautifully crafted and oh my, the sparkle makes me weak in the knees! My mom gave me a similar necklace, with a smaller pendant, to wear for my senior prom so I could not help but reminisce about that while wearing this. Lastly, the cuff bracelet with a marbled blue stone and clear crystal gives has those summer time vibes. I can definitely see myself wearing this all summer long!

This dress was on my wishlist for quite some time before I actually got it. I'm completely swooning over it too! What a knock out piece. Even my husband, when he walked in the house, said "wow, you look amazing in that dress!" This comes from a man who barely notices whatI wear haha. I would say it runs a little bit small. I'm wearing a size small and it is a bit snug, but not enough for me to order a size up. White the dress looks like its see through, there is a mesh layer underneath that is a nude color. The detailing on this dress is exquisite. I really did not want to take it off. It's lightweight and a great option for a night out on the town.

Let me start off by saying I am completely obsessed with this outfit. It has those cool girl vibes with a relaxed yet polished look. The details of this skirt are too cute! I think we could all use some good vibrations in our lives too. The sweater (I'm in a size small) has a relaxed fit and feels ever so cozy to be in. It's lighter and perfect for the upcoming months. The faux feather skirt (wearing a size x-small) is a beautiful statement piece and is under $15. Literally a steal! The teardrop earrings have a fun appeal and are inspired by sorbet colors. These are obviously white, but I have a pink and teal color too that are so pretty. Check out some more styles here. I also recently got this iPhone case from Anktit with pretty blue painted flowers on the back. They're so vibrant and really stand out. I love that it's see through so the gold back of my phone shows through too. The blue and gold look stunning together!

We've been having AMAZING weather this week! It's supposed to last a few more days so I'm taking advantage and being outside as much as I can. I've been taking Ava for long walks at the state park while also running some every day errands or taking nice drives around sunset with her. Today, before our walk, I picked up some spring inspired cookies and dropped them off at my dad's office to say hello to everyone. Spring is in the air and I could not be more excited!

As I mentioned yesterday, my dad, Ava, and I all went antiquing on Saturday to our favorite spot and got some goodies while we were there. This is the outfit I wore since the weather was just starting to change over to getting warm, but not quite there yet haha. The red slouchy sweater felt absolutely amazing and kept me so warm, even without a coat. The only thing is the sleeves are on the bigger side and would completely cover my hands if I didn't push them up. When the wind picked up, I was ok with that, but otherwise, they can get in the way. I knew I wanted a monochromatic look to really stand out and chose this red flared skirt to match. I love the cute little floral cutouts on it. They add a nice unique detail. Check the end of the post for some extra photos at the antique mall.

Happy Monday, friends! How was everyone's weekends? If you follow me on instagram, then you saw that I went antiquing with my dad and Ava on Saturday. We had so much fun and even found a few goodies. I'm always on the hunt for vintage tea cups and anything John F. Kennedy. Sometimes, I'll find some old aprons or vintage hats that are still in good condition and scoop those up too. Sunday was the final episode of Downton Abby. It was spectacular and incredibly well done. I am going to miss our Downton parties though!

Now, onto this simple outfit that packs a mighty punch. Saying that this outfit is simple can be a little misleading, but at the most basic, it is a top, jeans, and heels. Where the punch comes into the play is with the details. The vertical stripes and tie neck have a bold, yet feminine flair, while the bright fuchsia pumps brilliantly pop and have fun on trend lace ups. Adding in the leopard clutch throws another print into the mix to spice things up.

Another little detail is the MyIntent bracelet. Mine says "inspire." Big name celebrities such as Beyonce, Justin Bieber, Larry King, Rhinna and Kayne have all been photographed wearing them. Kayne famously wore his on the cover of Time magazine. MyIntent's mission is to be a catalyst for meaningful conversation and energy in the world. I chose my word of intent to be "inspire" since I hope to inspire each and every one of you here on my blog. I started this blog in the hopes of inspiring individuals through fashion and style. The person I hope to inspire most in my life is Ava. As she grows, I want to be able to inspire her to be the best she can be and to enjoy all the beauty life has to offer. If you were to choose one word as a daily reminder of something you want more of in your life or a challenge you want to overcome - what would it be?

Yay for Friday! For 2016, Pantone chose serenity blue and rose quartz as its colors of the year. Blue and pink have always been my most favorite color combination, so needless to say, I was pretty happy about that. I used the Pantone colors as inspiration for this outfit. I love the cool soft blues of the dress mixed with the rose gold accents. Not only did the color and intricate lace detail of the dress get me, but the cute collar absolutely sold me. I'm wearing an xs for reference. How perfect are these colors for spring too?!

As I mentioned in my previous post, I always like to "frost myself" with some bling to elevate all of my outfits. You can turn a casual look into a glam one just by adding a few pieces of jewelry. All of the jewelry I have on, which I am completely drooling over, is from Tera Bass's Boutique through Chloe and Isabel. You can visit her site at the link below, or click any of the links to the jewelry. She is a second grade teacher by day and a fashion loving jewelry merchandiser by night.

I love the bright aquamarine color of this swing top mixed with a white skirt. It really pops and adds a feeling of lighthearted fun. I've worn these rose gold ear crawlers with a few other outfits and cannot get enough of them! I'm always crushing on rose gold, especially during the spring and summer. Is anyone else excited to bring out their sun hats?! I love wearing hats and cannot wait to rock them again.

There's nothing like cozying up in a comfy sweater during the transitional months. The weather has been all over the place lately. It's warm for a few days, snows the next, followed by rain and cold, then warm again. Haha, I just try to go with the flow. I love how the blue and purple sequins elevate this gray sweater to anything but boring. Even the little fringe detailing outlining the sequins gives this a nice flair. I wore this out for our walk on Sunday and felt so comfortable, yet stylish. I'm wearing a size XS for reference. Another way to elevate an outfit is by adding some jewelry. I always think of How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days where Matthew McConaughey says "frost yourselves." Jewelry really is the frosting on the outfit cake! This art deco bracelet and stack able rings give the casual look some added polish. I'll be talking more specifically about these pieces, and some others, in a post later this week.

Happy March, everyone! Wow, the year is flying by. I feel like I was just clinking my glass of champagne to welcome in 2016 and now we're already into the third month. Did anyone do anything special for leap day yesterday? I spent the afternoon with my dad and Ava. We went for a walk and some ice cream before taking a ride. For whatever reason, Ava did NOT want to nap and the ride was the only way to get her to take a quick snooze haha.

Chambray is my go-to for a laid back yet classic look. There are so many ways to style it ranging from classy in heels and pearls to causally relaxing like I have above in some booties and a fun printed scarf. One of my new favorite ways to style a belt is to knot it myself. This way, I know it will fit me great and it looks effortless. This Humble Chic dress has the belt included, win-win! This light weight zebra print scarf is a great addition to your spring wardrobe for layering and creating unique looks. The black and white print is always on trend and never goes out of style. Plus, how cute are the zebra's?! Keeping with the same color as the belt, I added this cross body bag from Lany. It's the perfect bag to carry you from the work day to the weekend with ease. Can we just take a moment to look at that cute little bow on top (insert heart eyes emoji.)

Don't forget you can receive 15% off of your Humble Chic order withe the code LIKEIT. They're one of my new favorite brands. They're totally affordable and a great way to update your closet from classic staples to on trend pieces.
