This Dress Makes Me Smile

Yellow Floral Dress c/o || Similar Circle Bag (Mine Is From TJMaxx) || Franco Sarto Heels, Old, (Similar) || Express Sunglasses, Old, (Similar) || Kohl’s Trench Coat, Old, (Similar) ||

Happy Good Friday, everyone!  First off, thank you to my dad for taking these photos for me. The location we took them in doesn’t allow tripods so his help was essential and of course greatly appreciated! This dress instantly puts a smile on my face with its vibrant sunshine yellow color adorned with pretty blossoms. The tie neck and ruffle cuffs add a beautiful touch of femininity that I always adore. I wanted the whole look to feel as if spring has sprung and to be bright and cheery. I had so many people stop to comment on either the dress, shoes, or trench coat. Needless to say, this outfit was a hit! The dress fits true to size.

This was our last day and one that turned out to be amazing. I actually came down with a nasty stomach bug and spent most of the time in bed, but felt better by the end of the trip and we made sure to pack as much into the last day as we could. We had some yummy snacks at Rare Sweets where Ava got her famous cherry blossom cookie and then took a walk around before heading over to Arlington National Cemetery to pay our respects at JFK’s grave. Finally we headed to a late lunch with our family memebers. It’s always so wonderful to see them. I wish we lived closer!

I hope everyone has a blessed weekend and enjoys the Easter holiday! Below are some more photos from the day.

Dreamy Rooftop Views

Gingham Ruffle Dress c/o || Pink Slides || Sunglasses || Circle Crossbody Bag || Similar Straw Hat || DW Rose Gold Watch c/o || Jackie Kennedy Pearl Drop Earrings ||

A very happy good morning to everyone! Though I currently live and grew up in the country, there’s nothing I find more thrilling than gazing upon a city to watch the hustle and bustle below. Oh the excitement! The sounds of city life alone feed my soul. This particular rooftop is a favorite of mine with views of two famous buildings, the Capitol and Washington Monument. It’s a fantastic spot to bask in the golden glow of a sunset too. As soon as I arrived in the city, I made my way to roof to catch the last of this beautiful sunset and to take it all in. This gingham dress with a ruffle neck and cuffs felt wonderful on. It’s a charming little number! Truly a versatile piece that could be worn on a picnic, to an amusement park, or strolling down the avenue while window shopping. I’m wearing a small and it fit perfectly.

Get Your Glow On

Dermalogica all c/o || Precleanse || Daily Microfoliant || Phyto Replenish Oil || Hydrablur Primer ||

Happy Monday, friends! I was recently introduced to a skincare brand I had heard so much about and definitely wanted to give a try. For those of you that do not know, I’ve struggled with acne my entire adult life. Having to deal with this has led me to become very passionate about my skin care routine. It’s very exciting to find a company with products that deliver on their promise and are just as passionate about skin care as I am. After trying these products for about one month, I am truly impressed with each one. My favorite of the four were the daily microfoliant and the phyto replenish oil, which I’ve incorporated into my daily routine.

The Precleanse is an oil that gently removes everything from waterproof mascara to chewing gum in hair! It removes excess oil without clogging pores. It was very relaxing to massage this oil over my dry face for a minute or two and then add water to emulsify. After using a cleanser, I would the  use the Daily Microfoliant, which I love. My face always does better when I exfoliate it everyday. Many exfoliants are only to be used two to three times a week so it’s definitely a plus that this one is for daily use. It’s a powder that you activate by adding water in your hands to create a creamy paste. It gently smoothed away dulling skin cells for instantly brighter skin! I would end my nightly routine with the Phyto Replensih Oil, a true all star of the group. I use 5-6 drops and then gently press onto my skin. This oil strengthens the skin’s natural barrier to create a luminous antioxidant shield against free-radical damage. The Hydrablur Primer locks in hydration and provides a light, neutral coverage that can be worn alone or under makeup. This primer blues the appearance of fine line and mattifines shine. I honestly am horrible with primers, haha. I forget to put them on in the morning before my foundation, but when I would remember to wear the primer, it did smooth everything out and I didn’t have to use as much foundation as normal. A win in my book!

Spring Is In The Air

Bell Sleeve Dress c/o || Similar Sandals || Mar Y Sol Bag || Similar Straw Fedora || KEP Earrings c/o || DW Rose Gold Watch c/o ||

Good morning and happy Friday!! While most of the north east got hit with another nor’easter a few days ago, there is still a sense (maybe it’s a strong hope!) that spring weather is right around the corner. One of my favorite things to wear in spring is a crisp white dress. It looks and feels fresh to go with the new season. I always end up wearing a white dress for Easter too! This dress from Trina Turk features a stripe geo lace with a boatbeck and bell sleeve for some feminine drama. It felt so good to slip into my first white dress of the season. This would be a great choice for a tropical holiday too!

I hope everyone enjoys their weekend and hopefully you have some spring like weather!

A Ladybug

Lads And Ladybugs Dress c/o ||  Cat Ballet Flats || Similar Straw Hat || JFK Necklace ||

Good morning, friends! Today, I’m excited to share some photos I took of Ava in her dress from Lads And Ladybugs featuring a charming little town scene with a backdrop of beautiful pink hues. I’m head over heels in love with this dress! I’ve always been a big “Main Street USA” fan and love the idea of anything that reminds me of Mayberry, my ultimate Main Street town. Ava thought the dress was pretty and kept looking at the print all day. My little lady! She’s wearing a size 2-3 years from the site, which fit perfectly on her.

Good morning friends and happy first day of spring!!! I have been waiting for this day for quite some time now and could not be happier that’s it’s finally here. Mother Nature may not completely agree yet, but winter is officially behind us and that is reason enough to celebrate!

The past few days have been a whirl wind. They literally went by in the blink of an eye! Mr. Sunshine finally came out of hibernation and decided to stick around for the entire weekend so we made sure to get as much vitamin D as possible. This outfits is what I wore on one of our many walks over the weekend, obviously with spring on my mind. I’ll never tire of mixing pink and blue together. The combo is an all time favorite of mine and one that never goes out of style. I’ve had this lace bomber jacket for a few years now and love it’s casual elegance. The straw bag was actually my mom’s. I’m not exactly sure when she got it, but it holds a sentimental value for me. It’s darling for spring and quite spacious too!

Happy Tuesday, friends! Is there anything that reminds you more of spring than blooming flowers and floral prints? What caught my eye with this top is the fluttery trumpet sleeves and of course the floral print, which is different from other ones I’ve seen recently. It’s a great piece to dress up or down! I’m also loving this pink floral top and this pink cold shoulder one with birds making it have a very whimsical feel! This floral top is the prettiest shade of robins egg blue. I’ve had this LC Lauren Conrad tulle skirt for ages and it’s still one of the most beautiful in my closet. It’s from her Cinerdella collection. I swoon very time I see it!

Black & White Florals

Floral Circle Dress c/o || Humble Chic Cardigan c/o || Ralph Lauren Bag || Sunglasses || Similar Necklace || DW Rose Gold Watch c/o || Similar Shoes ||

Hello and happy Monday! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. Mine was jam packed filled with seeing family and friends and even getting to meet a new friend. I also got to watch (and loved!) a new series CNN has called American Dynasties: The Kennedy’s Sunday’s at 9pm. There’s six episodes total.

This dress takes me back to the 1950s and I love every single bit of it! The intricate black and white floral pattern is striking enough on its own, but add in a little pop of color and you have a whole new impact on the look. Typically, I would have gone with red to complete this outfit, but instead went for a bright pink for a more modern take on a classic look/color combination. The dress itself fits true to size and is under $20.

Pretty Pastels

Pink Top || Banana Republic Skirt (Old, Similar) || Floral Head Wrap || Circle Bag (Similar) || Sunglasses || ModCloth Heels (Old, Similar) || DW Rose Gold Watch c/o || Stella & Dot Earrings c/o ||

Good morning, friends! If I had to wear one color combination for the rest of my life, it would be pink and blue. I’ve always swooned over the darling duo, especially in pastel shades. There’s nothing that says spring quite like pastels! Another one of the big trends for spring are scarves. There’s so many different ways to wear them, which makes them a fun accessory to have! You could wrap one around the handle on your bag, around your neck, use one as a belt, or even in you hair like I have above. Mine is actually made to be a head wrap so there’s no extra fabric with the tie. I love the vintage vibe they have too!

Tulip Top Two Ways

Outfit 1: Tulip Top || White Skinny Jeans || Circle Bag || Sunglasses || Stella & Dot Earrings || Similar Heels||

Outfit 2: Tulip Top || Circle Skirt c/o (Old, Similar) ||  Mini Shooper Bag || Similar Jean Jacket || JustFab Flats (Old, Similar) ||

Hello and a very happy good morning to you!  I fell so in love with this top that I had to show it two ways! Let’s be honest, we rewear our pieces all the time or there’s a certain favorite top/pair of jeans/jacket that is always in constant rotation. I know I have a favorite pair of jeans that I grab for all the time. I’ve worn them on the blog numerous amounts of times. In fact, I’ve worn them so much that I’ve made a conscious effort as of late to showcase other pairs of jeans on here, haha. Regardless, what I love about personal style is seeing people imagine different ways to wear the same piece. Here, I have two different looks, both equally enchanting and easy to recreate. I adore the bright green and pink in this top. Plus, the pretty tulips! Oh spring, where are you?? On that note, we’re getting more snow today. Booo. It’s supposed to be bad enough that we’re even under a state wide state of emergency. Stay safe, everyone!

Bright Pop Of Color

Velvet Blazer || Striped Top || AG Jeans || Similar Lace Up Flats || Bucket Bag || Sunglasses || JFK Necklace || DW Rose Gold Watch c/o ||  Kate Spade Leopard Belt (Old, Similar) ||

Good morning and happy Monday!  Today is all about some bright happy colors to beat the winter blues. The punch of color from this blazer is truly eye catching. Its so vibrant! I was passing by this building, which turned out to be Canteen 900 Park, and was struck by how colorful the building was. It made for a great backdrop and it turns out the staff and owners are super friendly too! I got to chatting with Adam, who is a bartender there and is in the photo with me above (hi Adam!) and cannot wait to go back to try out some of their food and drinks. Ive been to their other location, Canteen 900, and absolutely love everything there so I have no doubt i’ll be blown away with the Park location.

For all of my east coast friends, I hope everyone was safe during the Nor’Easter this past Friday. We didn’t get too much snow, but the winds were insane. We had gusts up to 60mph. We lost power for about half of the day and luckily that was the worst of it. Also, the Oscars were last night! The movie montages totally made the show for me. Shout out to Eva Marie Saint for being such a class act. I loved that she got a standing ovation. Also, Jimmy Kimmel taking movie stars over to an unsuspecting audience at a near by theater was AWESOME. Everyone was sooo surprised. Why was I not in that audience?! Haha. What a night.

Flamingo Party

Flamingo Dress c/o || White Bucket Bag || Pink Sunglasses || Rockstud Sandals c/o || Seersucker Blazer (Banana Republic Old, Similar) || DW Rose Gold Watch c/o ||

Happy Friday and a very happy hello to March! I completely forgot to welcome in the new month yesterday. It’s the last full month that could have potential winter weather. Thank goodness, I really need some vitamin D and warmth right about now!

As soon as I see some sunshine, the spring dresses come out! We were lucky to have three days of spectacular weather this past week so out came all of my spring wear. It felt so good! This sptriped flamingo print dress makes me happy just looking at it. Blue and white always reminds me of spring and summer. How fun are flamingo’s too?! The dress comes with a matching belt and fits a little big. If there was an XS, I would have gone with that, but a Small was the smallest size available.

Is anyone else as excited for the Oscars as I am?! It is by far my favorite awards show and one I look forward to watching every year. I used to watch it every year with my mom. Justin and I would try to go see all of the Oscar nominated movies in the theater too and then watch the big show together. My favorite moment is when Leo finally took home the Oscar for best actor. I literally started screaming with joy, haha. It’s on ABC Sunday at 8pm. Cheers to all of the silver screen winners!
