An Ocean Breeze Puts A Mind At Ease

Seaside Dress || Similar Rainbow Drop Earrings || Similar Bag || Sunglasses || Blush Sandals || Pink & Blue Co. Bracelet c/o || Pearl & Anchor Bracelet ||

One of my favorite dresses this summer has to be this colorful seaside scape dress. The retro design of pink and white stripes along with a seaside village upon the skirt has my heart gushing with joy. The bright colors alone make me smile while I think of the beautiful sea in the good ol’ summertime.

Good morning and happy Tuesday, friends! Another day, another lemon print dress! This time with a mommy and me theme, especially focusing on Ava’s darling dress. My dress is an old favorite from Shein that I pull out quite a bit in the summer. This chiffon midi dress and this ruffled mini dress will have you feeling fresh in the sunny lemon print. Ava’s dress is a mix of denim with the lemon print skirt and an adorable bow at the waist. It’s perfect to wear for fun summer day. Each time she wears hers, I always try to match in one of my lemon prints as well. There’s nothing better than matching with my mini.

When Life Gives You Lemons

Off The Shoulder Lemon Dress c/o || Sunglasses || Lemon Bag || Similar Sandals || Tassel Earrings || Pink & Blue Co. Bracelet c/o ||

One print that always feels like summer is a lemon one. Perhaps it’s the sunshine yellow color or the thoughts of a nice cold glass of fresh squeezed lemonade that bring out the feelings of the good ol’ summertime. This particular dress even incorporates fun polka dots and an off the shoulder style into the mix making for once chic ensemble! The dress fits true to size and comes with a removable sash to cinch in your waist.

Italian Flair

Floral Maxi Dress c/o || Yellow Wedge Espadrilles || Sunglasses || Madison Braids Headband c/o || Similar Straw Tote || Similar Shell Earrings || Pink & Blue Co. Bracelet c/o ||

Ah the romance of a vintage Italian movie in the sweet summertime. That’s exactly what this floral maxi off the shoulder dress from Chicwish reminded me of while wearing it on a gorgeous summer evening. It turned out to be an evening to remember too making this dress all the more special. It fits true to size and has the perfect amount of a fun and flirty feel. A tie sash comes with it to cinch in your waist for a nice fit and flare. I’m also wearing a cute braided headband from Madison Braids that makes styling your hair super easy and stylish at the same time. The color I’m wearing is Strawberry Blonde.

Leopard Date Night

Similar Top || Leopard Skinny Jeans || Similar Sandals || Similar Clutch || Karen Walker Sunglasses || Rainbow Ring || Leopard Circle Earrings c/o || Pink & Blue Bracelet c/o ||

Good morning, friends! While you’ll almost certainly find me in a dress most days, it is nice to switch it up with a fun pair of pants, especially these leopard skinny jeans, which are currently on sale! This look is great for a summer date night, but these jeans could also be worn for more casual days with a simple black or white t-shirt or even to the office with a chic pair of flats and a burgundy or navy top. Pops of pink also look fabulous with leopard as well! As for sizing with the jeans, I would go down one size for the best fit.

Rainbow Maxi Toddler Style

Ava’s Rainbow Maxi Dress c/o || Rod Gold Sandals ||

Good morning and happy Monday, friends! What a spectacular weekend we had! First, Saturday July 20th was the 50th anniversary of the Saturn 5 rocket landing on the moon. John F. Kennedy’s dream of landing a man on the moon and returning him safely to the earth was not only realized, but celebrated with vigor all these years later. My family has always been big with space and the moon so this was a very cool moment to commemorate. The heat wave was also in full effect, which meant lots of pool time! Luckily, we have family members with pools so we were hopping from one to the other. Ava and I also celebrated National Ice Cream Day on Sunday with some yummy treats from one of our favorite local spots.

A few months back I wore the adult version of this fun rainbow striped maxi here. Recently, Chicwish released the kids version, which makes for some wonderful mommy and me summer moments! Ava was in love with this dress and it’s bright colors. The self ties at the shoulder are adjustable and have the cutest tassels on them along with tassel on the hem of the dress. A word to the wise, hand wash this frock only! I accidentally threw mine into the wash one day and many of the tassels fell off.

Happy Friday, friends! Today marks the first day of public access for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. To mark the occasion I’ve recreated some of my favorite fall outfits from last year with items still available from the sale. Many items have already sold out, but everything here is still available at the time this post goes live. Sadly, there were not many options to recreate my tweed blazer, but I did select some fabulous ones from the sale that will surely carry you through the fall in style. Each one of these looks was a personal favorite of mine ranging from the transition of early fall into the blaze of autumns stunning colors. I hope this gives you some inspiration!

Stay cool everyone and enjoy your wonderful weekend!

Nsale 2019 Early Access

The striped sweater that sold out immediately last year. This year, this one and this one are going to be the top sellers!

Last year I got this blazer in a beautiful pink hue. This year, the same blazer comes in a vibrant yellow that I’m totally loving!

Last year’s mini skirt helped create one of my favorite fall outfits! This year, the color is slightly different with the zipper detailing at the pockets.

#1 Camel Knee High Boots || #2 Bootie || #3 Camel Over The Knee Suede Boots || #4 Camel Bootie || #5 Calf Hair Mule || #6 Pointy Toe Loafer || #7 Ugg Slippers || #8 Nike Sneakers ||

One of the most highly anticipated sales of the year is finally here! If you are a Nordstrom card holder, then you can start shopping the fall preview sale today at 12:30pm ET, which is like Christmas in July! There are many cute pieces this year, particularly rainbow brights, leopard prints, and elevated casual staples. I always stock up on a few pieces that I know will carry me through the end of summer, into fall, and even early winter! With these sale prices, you cannot go wrong. This sweater and this rainbow one are two that I know will sell out first, especially since a very similar one sold out almost immediately last year. This blazer I purchased in pink last year and love the new yellow color selection, which adds a happy bright splash of color. Each year I get a pair of boots, these being number one on my list for shoes, especially with their soft fawn color and knee high style. Happy Shopping everyone!!

Summer Stripes

Retro Style Blue & White Striped Jumpsuit (Sold Out, Similar Here And Here) || Sunglasses || Rattan Basket Bag || Headband || Wedge Espadrilles || Pink & Blue Co. Bracelet c/o || Jackie Kennedy Bracelet || Cape Cod Earrings ||

Another day, another blue and white outfit perfect for fun in the summer sun! This jumpsuit was calling my name with its feminine retro spin on one of the comfiest pieces I’ve worn all summer long. The soft linen fabric has a v-neck secured by two adjustable self tie straps. The fully lined jumpsuit feels just easy breezy to wear as it looks. I was initially worried about the length of the legs, which I why I typically do not wear jumpsuits (short person problems!), but the length hit at a spot I was comfortable with right above my ankle. The legs are supposed to be cropped, which means they’ll look more regular length on me. I’m 5ft 2in for reference. Later in the day, I switched out the pearl headband for this knotted straw one before heading to an al fresco dinner at sunset. One of the waiters came over to me to say I looked like a movie star, so there’s always that, haha! He especially loved these sunglasses and I must concur. They are my go-to signature pair that I wear almost every single day. I’m sure you’ve seen them quite a bit on here!

Summer Blues In The City

Knot Striped Shirt c/o || Mid rise White Denim Shorts || Sunglasses || Similar Basket Bag || Necklace || Pink & Blue Co. Bracelet c/o || Tassel Earrings || Kate Spade Keds (Old, Similar) ||

Good morning, friends! I wore this look while Ava and I went to go see the new Sprider-Man: Far From Home movie yesterday. It was really good! Ava and I are big fans of all of the superhero movies with Spider-Man having a special place in both of our hearts.

While I tend to dress up a great deal of the time, I also love good casual basics, with this look being ideal for a fun summer night out! A blue and white color combo is quintessential for summertime and one of my favorites. The button down top has a collar, cute pocket patch in the front, and a tie knot at the hem. The fabric is so comfy and not see through at all. It fits true to size.

I also finished up the new season of Stranger Things and wow, Hopper’s speech at the end! Ugh, I could not stop crying. Everyone else I talked to that has finished up season three was the same way. Who is the “American” at the end though?! I have my theories, haha, and cannot wait for season 4 next year!

Wishing my mom a very happy birthday in heaven today too! She would have been 62. I know she is looking down on all of us, especially Ava, smiling so big at getting to watch her grow. I see so much of my mom in Ava too, it’s truly amazing. Her legacy of love, kindness, and never ending strength live on in my family and I am forever grateful to have had her as my role model and mom.

One of my favorite photos of her at Rusty Rudder. She was so cool! If you look, all of us are actually in this photo too. My brother and dad are reflected in her sunglasses and I’m off to the left side lol.

My Favorite Palm Prints

Palm Print Bikini c/o || Palm Print Top (TJ Maxx) Similar Tops Here And Here || White Jean Shorts || Sunglasses || Earrings || Pink & Blue Co. Bracelet c/o ||

Good morning, friends! One of my favorite prints to wear in the summer is a palm print, particularly in a pink and green combo. Not only do the two colors work so well together, adding to the overall happiness of the print, but it also symbolizes the obvious tropical vibe and overall feeling of being out on a beach relaxing with the ocean breeze softly swaying the palm leaves up above. There’s also a bit of vintage charm to the print that reminds me of Hollywood in the 1950s. Many times, I often conjure up images of how’ll I’ll be wearing an outfit when I see a particular piece online or in stores. Will I be wearing the piece while out running errands, relaxing at home, while on vacation, taking a stroll in the park, or out to brunch with friends. Similar to that, the palm print always brings a smile to my face thinking of the warm summer sun and easy carefree feeling summer days always seem to have. There’s a tremendous amount of cute palm print (even pink and green combos!) out there right now and at very affordable prices that will not break the bank. Everything from tops, dresses, bags, swimsuits, pjs, and shoes have the tropical image on them. Look below for some of my absolute favorite finds!

Outdoor Exploring In Sailor Wear

Vintage Cap Sleeve Blouse || Similar Sailor Shorts || Sunglasses || Old, Kate Spade Keds (Similar) || Necklace || Pink & Blue Co. Bracelet c/o || Wicker Bag || Similar Jean Jacket ||

What a fun filled day this was on the Cape! It was actually a day that was a bit spontaneous and ended up being one with some cherished memories. We started the day at the Mass Audubon Society in Barnstable. What a treat for fans of the outdoors! Ava was particularly in love with the turtles they had inside. We walked the grounds of the forested area listening to all of the birds chirping their happy songs. The air was fragranced with the sweet smell of honeysuckle while rhododendrons were blossoming all around us. After that, we walked down to the beach area where kayakers were just finishing up. Across the way we could make out a lighthouse and also stumbled upon a plethora of beach roses, my absolute favorite! They are my favorite rose and dare I say, even my favorite flower.

Afterwards, we were famished and stumbled upon the Dolphin restaurant not to far down the road. What an absolute gem this place was. I got the tuna sandwich with a cup of chowder and a slice of peanut butter pie. The entire meal was drool worthy and affordable. The decor inside was full of beach and patriotic themes, all of course adding to the charm. Next door, we went to the Nirvana Coffee Company, which had a steady stream of customers the entire time we were there. Ava and I relaxed on the Adirondack chairs outside while enjoying the sunshine and passers going by. I got my usual vanilla latte and loved it. It was a nice moment of calm before our next stop.

After re-energizing, we wanted to end the day at the beach, opting to try a new one called Gray’s Beach in Yarmouth. I think for Ava, this beach was one of the highlights of her trip. Though the beach itself is smaller, you can walk out into the tide pools and across the way to the little islands. While wading in the shallower water, you can find all types of small sea creatures, which all of the kids were thrilled about. The beach is famous for its long boardwalk, extending out into the grass and water, where it ends for a beautiful sunset view. Looking across the way, you can see the tip of Sandy Neck beach. All around us was nature at its very finest.

My Favorite 4th of July Looks

Happy Monday and welcome to July! With the 4th close at hand, I thought it would be fun to go through my favorite patriotic looks over the years for some inspiration. All feature red, white, and blue colors and can be easily re-created with staples in your closet, especially stripes! Looking back, almost every single outfit has stripes, and most notably my favorite hat from Vineyard Vines that I’ve had for years. While it’s no longer available on the site, I was able to find it here in what looks to be an online boutique shop. It’s also on sale!

Sunshine Tweed

Yellow Tweed Dress c/o || Rattan Tote || Sunglasses || Yellow Espadrille Wedges || Earrings || Pink & Blue Co. Bracelet c/o ||

Happy Friday! I hope everyone had a fun July 4th yesterday! We celebrated with a great deal of pool time and a yummy cookout followed by some ice cream, lakes rides, and fireworks. Today I wanted to share one of my favorite dresses that I’ve been wearing non-stop lately. I typically pull it out when I have a special occasion and it does not disappoint! This sleeveless dress, in a sunshine tweed, falls above the knees with a v-neck and fringe details to add some fun texture to the look. The dress fits true to size. I always feel a level of sophistication and overall happiness when donning this tweed frock. There’s something about it that keeps me smiling all day long.

I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!
