How To Wear Blush In The Fall

Blush Sweater || Blazer || Houndstooth Ruffle Skirt || Blush Vanity Bag || Burgundy Heels (Old, Similar) || Tortoise Necklace || Ava Bracelet || Ava’s Dress ||

Good morning and happy Monday, friends! I hope everyone had a great weekend. I did some antiquing and hit up a local craft show and a harvest fest, both of which were fabulous! They definitely put me in a fall state of mind, even though the weather decided to switch back to summer for a brief period. We had temperatures reaching into the 90s. Also, for my friends and family in the southeastern part of the U.S., specifically North and South Carolina, please stay safe! We’re praying for you!

While I love the rich hues of autumn, there is one color I wear year round, regardless of the season. Some may shy away from blush or rosy colors this time of the year, but they blend beautifully with fall’s vibrant color palette. On Ava, we see the very popular color combo of gray and pink, usually mixed with some white, for fall. Imagine a cozy pink sweater with white jeans and gray suede over the knee boots. I’m wearing some warmer tones to mix blush with and the ever popular classic houndstooth print. Pairing an accessory in blush can be an alternative way to work the color into your autumn ensemble as well. This vanity box bag, which Ava and I both love!, has a wonderful vintage vibe that works very well with the nostalgic feeling Fall tends to have. The color is gorgeous along with the gold hardware.

End Of Summer Romance

Ruffle Wrap Dress (On Major Sale!) || Similar Blush Sandals || Réna Iman Blush Leather Clutch c/o || Chloe And Isabel Earrings (Old) c/o || Necklace (Old, My Mom’s) ||

Happy Friday, friends! Today I’m very honored to introduce a brand I’ve only just found out about, Réna Iman. This classic blush clutch, with a customized tag featuring Ava’s birthstone, provides that beautiful  personal touch and is made of the highest quality leather inside and out. What really makes this brand quite special is how their handcrafted timeless pieces go on to support stopping violence against women one unique story at a time. A portion of every purchase is donated to the Virginia Sexual and Domestic Violence Action Alliance and the Joyful Heart Foundation.

It’s hard to believe this is the last official meteorological day of summer. It truly did fly by in the blink of an eye as summer usually tends to do. The first calendar day of fall is September 22, but meteorologically it starts on September 1st. There’s still plenty of warm weather left though making this romantic wrap dress an absolute must! It’s on sale now for only $15 too. It’s light and airy with the most beautiful ruffles and watercolor print. There’s also a black and a rose version as well. I love how it flows and all of the feminine details making me feel at my very best.

I hope everyone has a great Labor Day weekend! We’re planning some outdoor activities and of course a fireworks show. Cheers!!

Mommy & Me // Dreamy Tulle Skirt

Layered Tulle Skirt c/o || Polka Dot Top || Similar Polka Dot Heels || Mom Bracelet || Jackie Kennedy Pearl Drop Earrings || Kate Spade Bag (Old, Similar Here) || Ava’s Tulle Skirt c/o|| Ava’s Polka Dot Top ||  Ava’s Clutch, Old, Betsy Johnson ||

Good Morning and happy Monday! This has to be one of my favorite Mommy & Me outfits to date! This pink layered tulle skirt has been on my Chicwish wishlist for quite some time now. It’s whimsically romantic and the prettiest shade of blush. This skirt has a magical quality to it. It really does! It’s one of those pieces that can make you feel at your best. It can set the mood for the entire day. Doesn’t the skirt remind you of Carrie Bradshaw in the opening of Sex And The City too?? There is a new black style that was just released as well. When I saw there was a matching skirt for the little ones, I knew this would be perfect for my little mini me and I. Ava and I felt like princesses and everyone that saw us stopped to say how much they loved our outfits. It’s was the coolest day! We danced and twirled all while laughing and having a good time. Kisses and hugs included <3 I’m wearing an XS/Small and Ava is in a 3-4 year.

The Ladies In Red

Red Shirt Dress (On Sale!!) || Red Bow Flats (On Sale!!) || Sunglasses || Similar Red Bag || Red Lipstick ||

Another day, another red dress! This was the first rain free day we had, which meant heading outside for the entire day! Ava and I visited various places, but stopped at one of our local parks for the majority of the time. It was refreshing to see and feel some sunshine and to spend time with others enjoying all that summer has to offer. This shirtdress is a vintage dream! It’s included in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, which ends August 5th. These red bow flats, which I am obsessed with, are also a part of the sale. The red color is striking and the bow on the flats is adorable. Top notch with good details. I had so many people come up to me on our day out to tell me how much they liked the outfit, which to me, is clear that it’s a winner! Both fit true to size. I’m wearing a 0p in the dress.

Mommy And Me // Monogrammed Pink Roll Neck Sweater

Ava’s Pink Monogrammed Roll Neck Sweater c/o || My Pink Sweater || Blush Sandals || Shorts || Sunglasses ||  || Anchor and Pearl Bracelet ||

Good morning and happy Monday! I'm so excited to finally be able to share this post! As you know, any post that has Ava in it is very special to me, including this dreamy sunset with our mommy and me outfits. I absolutely adore matching with my mini! Ava’s sweater from Monogram Mary was the inspiration for our outfits. It’s a beautifully made roll neck sweater with a turtle motif and Ava’s initials inside. I was blown away by the quality of the piece and also how cute Ava looks in it! It’s the perfect weight for a cool summer night too. You can chose from a variety of motifs, thread colors, monogram styles, and different fonts. We kept our look casual with the pink sweaters. some jean shorts, and pink sandals. I really love the third picture of Ava here. She looks like a little model! It truly was a magical night with the gorgeous sunset and fun we had while capturing these precious moments.

Classically Nautical

Sail To Sable Dress c/o || Ava’s Dress || Sunglasses || Wicker Bag || Jack Rogers Sandals || Vineyard Vines Hat (Old, Similar) || Jackie Kennedy Earrings || Pearl And Anchor Bracelet ||

Good morning, friends! This dress could not have been more perfect for being on the Cape.  The flutter sleeves give the dress just the right amount of flair while keeping the look classic, elegant, and fun! I love how comfortable the dress is too. This was another look that I matched with Ava, though we didn’t get too many photos together other than our macaron snap and our yearly family photo in front of the Nausset Lighthouse, which is the lighthouse on the Cape Cod chips bag! This is one of those dresses I love to keep in rotation all summer long. It’s so easy to throw on with some sandals and go.

What a gorgeous day we had! We started at one of our favorite antique stores and then headed to Cake and Islands Dessert Shoppe. They’re known for their sea glass candy, but also their macaron cookies. They were amazingly good! We ate all of them on the beach, haha. Next we stopped at the National Seashore Park office in Eashtham, which is also where the Nausset Lighthouse is. Fun fact, on August 7, 1961 President Kennedy signed a bill establishing the Cape Cod National Seashore to preserve the Great Beach and prevent large scale development from occurring at other places along the Eastern seaboard. It includes 43,607 acres and nearly 40 miles of seashore along the Atlantic coast. After visiting the park office, we went to the beach where Ava played with a sand turtle toy she got at the park store and then eventually to the lighthouse to get some photos. Ava thought someone lived inside the lighthouse and kept knocking on the door. She is adorable to watch! To end the day, we stopped in Chatham, my second favorite town on the Cape. It is beyond charming. We stopped for dinner at the Chatham Raw Bar to try out their oysters after hearing so many good reviews. Trust me, they were the best oysters I ever had! I’m kicking myself for not getting a photo of them, but I literally inhaled them as soon as they got to the table.

Polka Dot Pose

Blue Polka Dot Top c/o || Bow Shorts c/o || Similar Polka Dot Keds || Sunglasses || Circle Bag || Pearl Bracelet || Jackie Kennedy Pearl Earrings || Ava’s Polka Dot Top ||

Happy Tuesday, friends! First, happy birthday to my brother Mike! I can’t wait to celebrate with him. This look definitely puts a smile on my face. It has my all time favorite vintage vibe going on with the forever fun polka dot print and the tailored white shorts with an adorable bow at the waist. I matched Ava with her ruffled polka dot top and white bottoms. I seriously cannot resist matching with her! Both pieces fit extremely well and are true to size. I’m wearing an XS for reference. We took these photos at a newly found restaurant for us. Persy’s became one of our go-to spots for breakfast with a huge menu, great prices, and even better food! The meal I got the most was eggs, bacon, home fries, and a common crumpet. Of course some coffee too!

A Princess Moment

Pink Satin Dress c/o (Sold Out, Similar Here and Here) || Ava’s Tulle Dress c/o || Similar Pink Sandals || Jackie Kennedy Pearl Earrings || MVMT Watch c/o || Kate Spade Mom Bracelet || KJP JFK Pearl Bracelet || KJP JFK Pearl Necklace ||

Good morning, friends. First, I want to express my deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Kate Spade. My heart goes out to them. I was completely shocked and saddened to learn of her passing yesterday. Her brand and vision have always been an inspiration for me bringing color, sparkle, and whimsy into the fashion world. I remember getting my first Kate Spade bag only a few years ago and what a monumental moment that was for me. She brought affordable luxury to the masses and allowed us to peak into her world of fun and vibrant colors. She did live colorfully and she did leave a little sparkle everywhere she went. Thank you Kate. You will be missed.

This was one of my most favorite photography shoots we did while on vacation in Cape Cod. I told Ava these were our princess dresses, which she loved! She kept telling me we looked like princesses for the rest of the night. She didn’t want to take her dress off. Both of our dresses are from Chicwish, a favorite of mine. I was happy to see they started carrying children’s clothing too. As soon as I spotted this tulle floral dress, I knew Ava would not only love it, but look darling in it. She’s wearing a size 3-4. She wears a 3T now. My heart swooned a bit when I saw my dress. It’s perfect for any formal event, especially with wedding season upon us. Mine is currently sold out, but I linked some similar ones also from Chicwish.

We took these photos at the JFK memorial on my 30th birthday. A great way to end a very memorable day. This is my favorite spot on all of the Cape and that’s saying a lot since every spot on the Cape is charming and dreamy. The sunsets are absolutely gorgeous going down behind the memorial and glistening on the water fountain. It’s relaxing and very peaceful to be there, especially with Veternas Beach being in front of the memorial too. It’s a great little spot to come and the spot where I initially fell in love with Hyannis. I can’t wait to share the rest of our photos from our vacation!

A Vibrant Match

Julie Brown NYC Dress c/o || Dress For Cocktails Bag c/o || Sunglasses || Slides || Similar Jean Jacket || KEP Earrings c/o || DW Watch c/o ||

Good morning and happy Tuesday, friends! I don’t know what it is, but I adore matching. I love matching my accessories to my outfit and I especially love matching my outfits to Ava’s. Those are my favorite! I was thrilled when Julie Brown NYC told me they were doing a matching collaboration with Dress For Cocktails. I could not wait to see what they had in store. The dress is so vibrant and stands out in a crowd. It also has pockets, which, let’s be honest, is one of the best features for a dress to have! I’m wearing a size 2, but I should have gone with the 0. The 2 felt a little loose. Now, the bags (tote and clutch) have a removable magnetic bow, which matches the print of the dress. There are also a few different colored bows available to mix and match. I told Ava the little matching clutch was hers to carry around and she loved it. She also really liked the removable bows. She was constantly switching them around. It’s a neat idea!

Mommy & Me- Hydrangea Dress

On Me: Sail To Sable Shift Dress c/o || Boater Hat || Similar Blush Heels || Rattan Clutch || Stella & Dot Earrings c/o || Jackie Kennedy Bracelet ||

On Ava: Sail To Sable Shift Dress c/o || Cat Ballet Flat || Cat Hat, New Version ||

Good morning and happy Friday, friends! This post makes me smile so big! Mommy and Me posts are always my favorite. How cute is Ava showing off her dress?! She was especially excited about the pockets, haha. For two days we had some amazing weather with sunshine and temperatures reaching 70 degrees. It was glorious and literally smelled like spring was here, which meant the spring dresses came out!

These tweed dresses from Sail To Sable are the most beautiful color of hydrangea blue. Cape Cod’s signature flower is the hydrangea which makes these dresses even more special to us. Both are a shift style with fringe at the neckline. Mine also has fringe trimmed along the sleeves and Ava’s has fringe at the front pockets. Speaking of, she loved having pockets to stick her hands into! She’s a smart little lady. Pockets are the best and a feature I always look for myself. I found both dresses to fit true to size and comfortable to wear in the warm weather. I cannot wait to break these out again once spring arrives!

Mommy & Me Valentine’s Day

Sequin Tulle Dress c/o || Ava’s Velvet Dress || Jackie Kennedy Pearl Earrings || Jackie Kennedy Cascade Ring || Stella & Dot Brier Ring || Stella & Dot Engraved Ring ||

Good morning and happy February 1st! It is officially the month of love and what better way to kick it off than with a little Galentine’s Day Party. Just the “gals” here hence, Galentine’s lol. Ava and I spent the better part of a day celebrating and having our yearly party. We started with putting on our makeup and then getting dressed up. Ava picked out her own accessories and was very excited the whole time. The anticipation of it all! This has always been my favorite post to do throughout the entire year and one I always look forward to. Then we set the table together and lastly baked the cookies. She helped spread the icing and sprinkle on the sprinkles, all while enjoying eating some in the process, haha. Ava kept saying it was a tea party and honestly, we’ve been having little tea parties every day since then. Every meal happens at the dining table so why not make it pretty and fun?! After taking some photos, we dug in to all of the goodies and had some girl chats talking about the things we love. The heart ballon has a nice little story behind it. We were out the day before picking up the roses for the party, when a worker at the store just fell in love with Ava. He ended up cutting this ballon down from one of the displays and giving it to her, which was incredibly sweet! Thank you! This was one of the best days I’ve had and couldn't have spent it with a better gal than my little Ava. Cheers to all of the loved ones in your life! <3
