Mad For Plaid

Happy Labor Day weekend, friends! The last hurrah of summer is upon us and while I’m sad to see summer go, I’m anxiously anticipating all that Fall has to offer. I just recently picked up some pumpkin spice k-cups and look forward to sipping the autumn brew each morning. While slowly starting to incorporate some fall items into my life, I’ve also started adding some fall pieces into my wardrobe, including this beautiful plaid tweed shift dress. Talk about a true classic with a tailored touch! I adore wearing plaid and tweed pieces in the fall, especially when they’re so beautifully paired together into one standout frock. The dress fits true to size. I’m wearing a size 2.

I hope everyone enjoys their long weekend! Cheers to the unofficial end of summer! It truly was a memorable one with so many highlights that I hold near and dear to my heart. Also, a big congrats to my future sister-in-laws brother getting married this weekend!

Sail Away

Sail Sweatshirt c/o || White Jeans || Sunglasses || Rattan Bag || Woven Mules || Hoop Earrings || Pearl & Anchor Bracelet ||

Good morning, friends! I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! Ours was jam packed with parties and get togethers, meeting old and new friends alike, and of course honoring all of the superhero dads for Father’s Day. We went to a neighborhood block party, which we made my family’s famous Scotch-A-Roos for. They were a big hit! We also went to my friends 30th birthday bash and celebrated the night away with friends and family at the lake.

Speaking of, this French terry cloth Sail sweatshirt was perfect to wear for an evening I spent watching the sunset and boaters at the lake. Decked out in my crisp summer whites, this sweatshirt felt so comfy and was the perfect weight for a cool summer night. It’s a pullover with a drawstring hood, ribbed cuffs and bottom hem, and of course the Sail design. If you know me, then you know how much I love sail boats and would eventually love to learn how to sail. It’s on my bucket list! I immediately fell in love with the design and comfiness of the sweatshirt, a new staple for summer!

Good morning and happy Friday!! A few days ago I had the honor of attending the SetSailSummer blogger event held by Sail To Sable and Palm Beach Lately at the Wee Burn Beach Club in Connecticut. It was a celebration of all things summer where I got to meet some truly talented and lovely people. It was so much fun getting to know everyone and especially meeting the team behind each brand. The evening was quite a magical one with soft music playing in the background, the golden sun slowing setting, the chatter of new and old friends meeting, the rosè flowing, and the cutest summer themed hors d'œuvres. No detail was overlooked!

All of the gals were decked out in their best Sail To Sable outfits and most wearing their new Jack Rogers USA sandals. Monogram Mary was also on hand to monogram anything you wanted from sweaters, to clutches and tote bags. Sail To Sable was kind enough to ask which pieces from their summer collection we would like to wear for the celebration. I chose this pretty clip dot dress with fun tassels and ruffle hem. It was perfect for

The view at the Wee Burn Beach Club was absolutely breathtaking and the perfect backdrop for a summer soirée. The sunset was dreamy and we were all commenting on how gorgeous it was. Our lodging for the event was at the Roger Sherman Inn, which had the most amazing porch dining area and quintessential New England charm. Cheers to old and new friendships and a summer night to remember!

Thank you so much again to Sail To Sable, Palm Beach Lately, Jack Rogers USA, and Monogram Mary

Transition Into Spring

Sail To Sable Coat c/o || Gingham Dress c/o || Wedge Espadrilles || Straw Hat || Straw Bag c/o ||

Happy Friday, friends! White tweed, big gold buttons, and a knee length cut make this coat from Sail To Sable elegant in every single way. It’s been my go-to this season for the transition into warmer spring weather. I’m completely over winter and also strongly hoping we do not get any more snow storms. Fingers crossed! I’ve been starting to store away my winter outterwear and looking for a coat for the cooler spring days. This tweed one has a fresh feel with a light lining to keep me warm until we hit those 70 degree days. It also features a stand up collar and a fit and flare silhouette. I paired the coat with a fun gingham dress and yellow wedge espadrilles

Cozy At The Cape // Mommy & Me

Sail To Sable Wheel Sweater c/o || White Skinny Jeans || Similar Kate Spade Bag || Boots || Similar Pink Hat || Sherpa Coat c/o || Ava’s Sail To Sable Sweater Dress c/o||

Good morning, friends! As you know, mommy and me posts are my absolute favorite here on Enchanting Elegance. I get a big thrill each time I’m able to feature one. I’m particularly fond of this one because  of its nautical theme, which is very close to both my and Ava’s hearts. Come sail away with us! Both the sweater and sweater dress feature a wheel motif on a hydrangea blue background. I love being able to wear this sweater with a jacket now in winter, but I can also imagine wearing it with some jeans shorts and flats or wedges in the summer too. It’s perfect for those cool summer nights. This is how you do nautical year round! Both fit true to size. I’m wearing an XS and Ava is in a size 4.

Holiday Style With A Bow

Sail To Sable Bow Back Dress c/o || Red Coat || Gloves || Similar Bow Heels || KJP JFK Pearl Necklace || Jackie Kennedy Pearl Drop Earrings || Similar Sequin Clutch ||

Happy Friday, friends! We woke up to a winter white wonderland after yesterday’s snow storm. It’s the first snow of the season and Ava was quite excited for it, me not as much lol. The new fallen snow has me dreaming of the cheerful holidays ahead and all of the happiness and joy that comes along with them. The holiday season is the perfect time of the year to add a little something special to your wardrobe, this bow dress included! It exudes the perfect amount of classic elegance and charm with the darling bow detail in the back. I can’t help but to think of Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast At Tiffany’s when wearing this. She was the inspiration of this effortlessly chic holiday look.

The Classic Fall Fabric That Never Goes Out Of Style

Sail To Sable Tweed Dress c/o || Similar Kate Spade Bag || Karen Walker Sunglasses || Pink & Blue Co. Bracelet c/o || Cognac Heels || Engraved Ring ||

Good morning and happy Friday, friends! If there is one fall fabric that has never gone out of style and I dare say would be considered a “trend” every year, it’s tweed. Visions of an elegantly dressed Coco Chanel always come to mind when thinking of this staple item. I always get a bit nostalgic when gazing upon tweed items. Be it a tweed dress, skirt, blazer, bag, or shoe, the fabric, much like the season it represents, seems to bring me a sense of wistful romantic notions and a longing for the good ol’ days. Each tweed piece has a timeless feeling about it just like this dress from Sail To Sable, a brand that evokes a sense of classic whimsy with a nod to New England style. This particular dress has cap sleeves (a favorite of mine!) with a custom designed plaid pattern in bold blue and green. The fringe right above the hemline adds a fun detail to the whole look!

Classically Nautical

Sail To Sable Dress c/o || Ava’s Dress || Sunglasses || Wicker Bag || Jack Rogers Sandals || Vineyard Vines Hat (Old, Similar) || Jackie Kennedy Earrings || Pearl And Anchor Bracelet ||

Good morning, friends! This dress could not have been more perfect for being on the Cape.  The flutter sleeves give the dress just the right amount of flair while keeping the look classic, elegant, and fun! I love how comfortable the dress is too. This was another look that I matched with Ava, though we didn’t get too many photos together other than our macaron snap and our yearly family photo in front of the Nausset Lighthouse, which is the lighthouse on the Cape Cod chips bag! This is one of those dresses I love to keep in rotation all summer long. It’s so easy to throw on with some sandals and go.

What a gorgeous day we had! We started at one of our favorite antique stores and then headed to Cake and Islands Dessert Shoppe. They’re known for their sea glass candy, but also their macaron cookies. They were amazingly good! We ate all of them on the beach, haha. Next we stopped at the National Seashore Park office in Eashtham, which is also where the Nausset Lighthouse is. Fun fact, on August 7, 1961 President Kennedy signed a bill establishing the Cape Cod National Seashore to preserve the Great Beach and prevent large scale development from occurring at other places along the Eastern seaboard. It includes 43,607 acres and nearly 40 miles of seashore along the Atlantic coast. After visiting the park office, we went to the beach where Ava played with a sand turtle toy she got at the park store and then eventually to the lighthouse to get some photos. Ava thought someone lived inside the lighthouse and kept knocking on the door. She is adorable to watch! To end the day, we stopped in Chatham, my second favorite town on the Cape. It is beyond charming. We stopped for dinner at the Chatham Raw Bar to try out their oysters after hearing so many good reviews. Trust me, they were the best oysters I ever had! I’m kicking myself for not getting a photo of them, but I literally inhaled them as soon as they got to the table.
