Dark Florals In Spring

Dark Floral Dress || Camera Bag || Blush Sandals || Pink Sunglasses || Cardigan || Christian Paul Watch c/o || Jackie Kennedy Unity Band || Jackie Kennedy Emerald Unity Band || Lip Color: Ava || Rose Gold Love Bangle ||

Good morning, friends! I hope everyone enjoyed the Easter holiday. We were lucky enough to have amazing weather to enjoy the outdoors and wear our Easter best without freezing. Fun fact, it HAS snowed in PA before on Easter. Thankfully, not this year!

Over the holiday weekend I pulled out this dark floral dress to wear for some errands around town and on an ice cream date with my very special little lady. I can't help but smile every time I see a flowering trees in bloom too. There are quite a few out right now, but they are so short lived that its important to delight in their splendor any chance that I get. With all of the blooms out, a floral dress was an easy choice. The camera bag pairs beautifully with the dress in matching blush and black tones. The cardigan provides the prettiest pop of yellow and some added sparkle to brighten up the look. The keyhole detail in the back is anything but ordianry. I love how it shows some skin, but not too much skin. Just the perfect amount!

Big Bow Top

There's something quite special about a bow. It's one ofthose feminine details that sends my heart swooning. I cannot even tell you how many bow items I have! Whether it be a bow belt, printed top, or piece of jewelry, I always gravitate towards any piece or item with a bow associated with it. This bowknot top is just as sweet as can be. The oversized bow adds some drama to the simple pink top. It is detachable so the top can be worn without the bow if wanted. Also, I found the top to be a bit sheer so a cami would be needed underneath. I told you yesterday that I am having a moment with stripes! I wanted to give the playful top a bold bottom with some horizontal stripes. This skirt is made with a mid-weight fabric and runs slightly small, though I still got my normal size.

Winter Florals

Happy February 1st friends! In the blink of an eye, the first month of the year is already behind us. It's crazy how fast time moves. Is everyone sticking to their New Years resolutions or at least thinking about them? Usually by this time you've already tried to do something or its been a forgotten thing of the past, haha. I was honestly never one to even make resolutions so there's no judgement from me. This month also features Valentines Day! It's always been one of my favorite holidays to celebrate whether you're with a significant other or not.

Perhaps with the holiday on my mind, I dressed up this past weekend in shades of blush with darker florals for the winter season. I honestly have had this dress for a little while, which it is on major sale right now!, but just had not photographed it yet. I've worn it to family gatherings, coffee dates, pretty much any social gathering you can think of. it's a fantastic dress to take you from fall, to winter, and into spring. How about these shoes too?! My eyes nearly bugged out when I saw them. That little fluffy pom pom on the toe is everything. If you do not wear high heels often, these may be a bit tricky to wear. They're on the higher side. They do take some time to break in too. Once I wore them around for a few hours, they felt much better on. Sizing was also true to size for me.

A Dash of Sparkle

Embellished Sweater || Turtleneck || Sequin Skirt || Similar Shoes || Jacket || Christian Paul Watch c/o || Christian Paul Bracelet c/o || Jackie Kennedy Unity Band || Jackie Kennedy Emerald Unity Band || Lip Color: Ava ||

Hello and happy Thursday, friends! Alright, so I am incredibly in love with this outfit. It has all the elements that truly speak to me and my style. Tulle, embellishments, soft colors, and a very twirl worthy skirt. Haha, I will tell you that I even went grocery shopping in this. While I went with soft colors, this skirt would look equally dazzling with a darker top of burgundy velvet or anything but basic black. This look definitely reminds me of a Disney princess too. I don't know what it is about tulle skirts, but they always make me think of a princess. Not a bad thing! Speaking of, is anyone else getting really excited to see the live action Beauty and the Beast? It is one of my favorite Disney movies and I am counting down the days until it premiers! This skirt fit true to size for me and cut off right at my ankles.

Embroidery // Jumpsuit

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a beautiful and magical Christmas with their family and friends. It was a bittersweet for us, but we still had a wonderful day celebrating. With Christmas over and New Years Eve on the horizon, I started thinking about outfits that would be fun for ringing in 2017. My first instinct is always a dress. Something that sparkles and shimmers is high on my list, but then I thought about something that is just as feminine and sexy without being over the top. Enter the jumpsuit. When you think about it, its very similar to a dress being an all in one outfit. I love this for a date night out or for a new years eve party. The floral embroidery on the semi-sheer top is so pretty and one of next years big trends. It's already popping up on items from jeans,  to jackets, and bags. The silky woven bottoms feel so comfortable and are a nice alternative to a skinny pant. The fit is true to size.

Headbands Of Hope // Flower Crown

A few months back I partnered up with Headbands Of Hope to bring awareness to their cause. For every item sold on their website, one headband is given to a child with cancer. Here is the first post from back in June. I feel very honored to be able to participate again and hope that new and old readers alike will get behind and support this wonderful cause. They believe that fashion can be the greatest vehicle to positive self-identity and I could not agree more. That belief is the driving force behind my personal style and one of my goals for creating and continuing this blog. The happiness on the children's faces when they receive a headband brings joy into my heart and knowing that such a simple act of kindness really does make a difference in the world. Since their creation in April 2012, Headbands Of Hope has donated headbands to every children's hospital in the U.S. That is quite a remarkable feat if you ask me. Lastly, my heart is absolutely melting over Ava having a matching floral headband to mine. Mommy and me posts are my favorite.

Pink Frills

This is without a doubt one of my favorite outfits that I've worn recently. I keep thinking back to how magical the whole ensemble felt. Each little embellishment adds a bit of whimsy that makes my heart flutter. The layered tulle skirt is the showstopper in the most feminine way. I'm wearing a US 0 for reference. We've been having some amazing weather lately, mid 50s in November!, but I find wearing a midi or maxi style skirt is great for the cooler weather. The extra length keeps you warm while still looking effortlessly chic. How adorable is the bow fascinator too?! The glitter heels, along with the baublebar star drop earrings and bracelet set all add that extra little sparkle as if being the frosting on the cake. The perfect little topper to finish off the girly look. I'm wearing a 37 (US 6.5) for reference with the heels. They're in European sizes, but fit true to size.
