Good morning, friends! I wore this look while Ava and I went to go see the new Sprider-Man: Far From Home movie yesterday. It was really good! Ava and I are big fans of all of the superhero movies with Spider-Man having a special place in both of our hearts.

While I tend to dress up a great deal of the time, I also love good casual basics, with this look being ideal for a fun summer night out! A blue and white color combo is quintessential for summertime and one of my favorites. The button down top has a collar, cute pocket patch in the front, and a tie knot at the hem. The fabric is so comfy and not see through at all. It fits true to size.

I also finished up the new season of Stranger Things and wow, Hopper’s speech at the end! Ugh, I could not stop crying. Everyone else I talked to that has finished up season three was the same way. Who is the “American” at the end though?! I have my theories, haha, and cannot wait for season 4 next year!

Wishing my mom a very happy birthday in heaven today too! She would have been 62. I know she is looking down on all of us, especially Ava, smiling so big at getting to watch her grow. I see so much of my mom in Ava too, it’s truly amazing. Her legacy of love, kindness, and never ending strength live on in my family and I am forever grateful to have had her as my role model and mom.

One of my favorite photos of her at Rusty Rudder. She was so cool! If you look, all of us are actually in this photo too. My brother and dad are reflected in her sunglasses and I’m off to the left side lol.

Needing Nautical

Yellow Jacket || Striped Top || White Skinny Jeans || Red Scalloped Bag || Sunglasses || Similar Scarf || Navy Flats ||

Happy Wednesday, friends! As winter carries on, my mind has been drifting to all things warm weather related, including my love for nautical pieces. Truth be told, I wear nautical ensembles year round, regardless of the season. A favorite in summer, I like to keep the seafarer vibe going strong whenever and wherever I can. I decorated my home with a strong nautical New England influence.

The inspiration for this look started with the yellow parka jacket, perfect for layering in the spring and summer. It has a decent weight to it, which I was actually surprised with. The striped top and white jeans will always be a forever classic pairing, along with the navy flats adorned with gold buttons. They’re on sale now too! Ava was particularly taken with the scalloped bag in a bright shade of red. She wanted to carry it the whole time and often does when we’re at home. Completing the look, I tied a sailboat scarf around my neck that I got up at the Cape a few years back.

Bright Pop Of Color

Velvet Blazer || Striped Top || AG Jeans || Similar Lace Up Flats || Bucket Bag || Sunglasses || JFK Necklace || DW Rose Gold Watch c/o ||  Kate Spade Leopard Belt (Old, Similar) ||

Good morning and happy Monday!  Today is all about some bright happy colors to beat the winter blues. The punch of color from this blazer is truly eye catching. Its so vibrant! I was passing by this building, which turned out to be Canteen 900 Park, and was struck by how colorful the building was. It made for a great backdrop and it turns out the staff and owners are super friendly too! I got to chatting with Adam, who is a bartender there and is in the photo with me above (hi Adam!) and cannot wait to go back to try out some of their food and drinks. Ive been to their other location, Canteen 900, and absolutely love everything there so I have no doubt i’ll be blown away with the Park location.

For all of my east coast friends, I hope everyone was safe during the Nor’Easter this past Friday. We didn’t get too much snow, but the winds were insane. We had gusts up to 60mph. We lost power for about half of the day and luckily that was the worst of it. Also, the Oscars were last night! The movie montages totally made the show for me. Shout out to Eva Marie Saint for being such a class act. I loved that she got a standing ovation. Also, Jimmy Kimmel taking movie stars over to an unsuspecting audience at a near by theater was AWESOME. Everyone was sooo surprised. Why was I not in that audience?! Haha. What a night.
