The Color Of The Season

Good morning, friends! This season, one color I have seen pop up over and over again is purple. All different shades, though typically your lighter ones such as lilac, wisteria, lavender, and so on. Pastels are a constant for me, regardless of the season, so it was nice to see so many this year for fall! My mom would have been so thrilled to see her favorite color come to life in all of these beautiful creations. I think she would have particularly loved this wool coat in a gorgeous shade of wisteria. I remember one of her favorite scents from Crabtree & Evelyn was called Wisteria, which she would always get while we were on our family vacations at the beach. I cannot help but think of her every time I see a shade of purple. The current purple shades of this autumn season are softer, lighter, and all around brighten up your wardrobe. Come to think of it, that’s a perfect way to describe my mom. Light, bright, and happy with a soft touch.

All items fits true to size. I’ve mentioned this before, but I love to layer with lightweight turtleneck underneath. They not only add a pop of color or pattern to an outfit, but they are great for an added layer of warmth, or if the afternoon turns out to be warmer than expected, you can simply take your sweater off and sport your chic turtleneck underneath. The one I have on is pink with cute little white polka dots all over. Also, these star earrings are oh so glam and perfect for not only some pastel outfits, but also for the upcoming holiday season! They have been a go-to for me lately. I can’t help but smile looking at them.

Bright Pop Of Color

Velvet Blazer || Striped Top || AG Jeans || Similar Lace Up Flats || Bucket Bag || Sunglasses || JFK Necklace || DW Rose Gold Watch c/o ||  Kate Spade Leopard Belt (Old, Similar) ||

Good morning and happy Monday!  Today is all about some bright happy colors to beat the winter blues. The punch of color from this blazer is truly eye catching. Its so vibrant! I was passing by this building, which turned out to be Canteen 900 Park, and was struck by how colorful the building was. It made for a great backdrop and it turns out the staff and owners are super friendly too! I got to chatting with Adam, who is a bartender there and is in the photo with me above (hi Adam!) and cannot wait to go back to try out some of their food and drinks. Ive been to their other location, Canteen 900, and absolutely love everything there so I have no doubt i’ll be blown away with the Park location.

For all of my east coast friends, I hope everyone was safe during the Nor’Easter this past Friday. We didn’t get too much snow, but the winds were insane. We had gusts up to 60mph. We lost power for about half of the day and luckily that was the worst of it. Also, the Oscars were last night! The movie montages totally made the show for me. Shout out to Eva Marie Saint for being such a class act. I loved that she got a standing ovation. Also, Jimmy Kimmel taking movie stars over to an unsuspecting audience at a near by theater was AWESOME. Everyone was sooo surprised. Why was I not in that audience?! Haha. What a night.

Cranberry Jacket // Special Pieces

Cranberry Puffer Jacket || White Turtleneck || Similar Plaid Top || Madewell Skirt || Similar Leopard Loafers || Similar Dooney And Burke Bag (mine is passed down from my mom) || Jackie Kennedy Cascade Ring || Stella & Dot Ring || Leopard Belt ||

Good morning and happy Thursday, friends! Today’s look is all about some of my favorite fall colors and patterns mixed into one. It’s always fun mixing different prints together such as leopard and plaid. I’ve been loving this cranberry puffer jacket lately. The color is so rich and it’s the perfect weight for the in-between fall and winter temperatures. I typically would have gotten an XXS, but went with an XS so I could layer comfortably underneath it. The most special piece of this ensemble is my bag, which was my mother’s originally. She gave it to me a while ago, but once she passed I stopped taking it out for fear that something would happen to it. Lately, I’ve decided it was better to use it and remember her while carrying it with me.

My Birthday Outfit At The JFK 100 Celebration

Striped Seersucker Dress || Yellow Cardigan || Pearl Mules || Wicker Bag || Rose Gold Love Bangle || JFK 100 Pearl Bracelet || Jackie Kennedy Cascade Ring || Christian Paul Watch c/o ||

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday! Today I'm bringing you the outfit and some events that happened on my birthday last week. I have to say, it was one of my best birthday's ever. I have so many wonderful memories and I am so thankful to my dad for making it all happen. Eleven years ago my dad took me to Boston for my graduation gift to visit the JFK Library and Museum. Its hard to believe that eleven years have passed since then, but it felt amazing to be back! 5,386 people attended the JFK 100 birthday celebration, which was record breaking. The cake made my Montilios was 400 pounds, beautifully done, and absolutely delicious! We got there just in time to hear the Navy band play, which Ava LOVED. She was dancing along to them and in the photo collage above, she's clapping at the end of one of their songs. She also really enjoyed the cake lol. I had the biggest smile on my face the entire time and even got a bit choked up during the bands performance of our National Anthem. It truly was an amazing experience.

For the birthday celebration, I knew I wanted to wear something special and summery. The weather didn't quite think it should be summer yet. It was actually in the 50s and rained, but since I knew we would be inside most of the day, I still decided to go with summery. This seersucker dress has adorable light pink stripes running vertically and the prettiest pink bow in the back. Since it was a bit cooler out I opted for a cardigan, this yellow one being my absolute favorite with the embellished pink sequins and sunny disposition. The real knockout of the outfit are these pink pearl mules. I literally cannot get over them! They're the perfect height to walk around in and the pearls and rhinestones add an elegance to them. I received so many compliments on them. They fit true to size.

Pretty Picnic

Striped Seersucker Dress || Pink Slides || Sun Hat || Wicker Bag || Humble Chic Olive Branch Earrings c/o || Jackie Kennedy Unity Band || Jackie Kennedy Emerald Unity Ring || Rose Gold Love Bangle || Welly Merck Watch c/o || Picnic Basket ||

Good morning and happy Friday!! Last Friday I took my family out for a little picnic in one of my favorite parks. The weather was amazing, sunny with highs in the 80s. It literally felt like summer, we were all sweating haha. We enjoyed fresh fruit and some desserts while playing ball and watching Ava chase squirrels around. The timing could not have been more perfect to pull out this pink seersucker dress. I've always been a big fan of wearing seersucker in the summer. I actually used to own this blue seersucker shirt that I wore non-stop back when I was in high school. The dress runs true to size, I'm wearing a 00 for reference. There is also a built in bra with an internal zipper to help keep the dress up. It's actually quite genius and works well. The off the shoulder ties add the most darling detail to an already chic ensemble. This truly is the dress of the season! Wonderful for weddings, showers, brunch with the girls, beach bashes and more!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Garden Party In Bloom

Pink Sweater || Similar Tulle Skirt || Pink Sandals || Wicker Cross Body Bag || Pink Sunglasses || Baublebar Star Drop Earrings c/o || Christian Paul Watch c/o || Rose Gold Love Bangle || Jackie Kennedy Unity Band || Jackie Kennedy Emerald Unity Band ||

There's something quite special about the spring. Everything is in bloom and coming back to life again. The air is beautifully fragrant with flowers and warm with afternoon sun. The skies are blue and the birds are chirping their morning songs with such cheerfulness. It's hard not to be in love with the spring time. I always get so excited for its arrival and wish that it never had to leave. While I've always been a big fan of tulle skirts anytime throughout the year, I especially love them in the spring. The green and pink combination blends in perfectly to the blooming backdrop that is everywhere I look. I'm also swooning over wicker bags as I've mentioned before. This cross body is one of my favorites for its chic circle shape and its ease to hold. Its a go-to bag that will carry you throughout the season! Even little Ava loves it <3

Anchors Aweigh

Happy Thursday, friends! If you don't see me wearing something flirty and romantic, then you most certainly will find me in something nautical inspired. I can't help but love the classic preppy style that reminds me of fond memories spent at the beach on family vacations and the dreamiest of all places, Cape Cod. Spring and summer is when my nautical style hits the ground running (or should I say sailing!) and doesn't look back. Seeing as how it's still April, the weather can be hot and humid one day and rainy and chilly the next.

It's always a good idea to have a favorite sweater or sweatshirt on hand for layering when the chill hits the spring air. I layered this anchor print sweater on top of a crisp white button down shirt for a classic cool vibe. I'm wearing an XS, though usually I would have gotten an XXS. I decided I wanted the sweater to be a bit roomier for comfort purposes. If you want a more fitted look then go with the smaller size. Also, the anchor is actually a rose gold color! You know my love for all things rose gold. The white sailor shorts are the cutest too and perfect for any nautical style. The gold buttons actually have little anchors on them. I'm wearing my usual size 00 and found them to fit fine. The espadrille sneakers are currently on sale and a new favorite of mine! They are super comfy to wear all day and are the epitome of summer style.

Vintage Sparkle

Yellow Cardigan || Similar Striped Dress || Circle Bag || Karen Walker Sunglasses || Shoes || Jean Jacket || Rose Gold Love Bangle || Christian Paul Watch c/o || Jackie Kennedy Unity Band || Jackie Kennedy Emerald Unity Band || Baublebar Star Drop Earrings c/o || Lip Color: Ava ||

Good morning and happy Thursday! This has been one of my favorite spring outfits so far for this year. Jean jackets and stripes are always a go-to for me when putting together an outfit. They're easy and effortlessly chic. I pretty much use blush as a neutral and these shoes and this bag have been onconstant rotation with no end in sight! These shoes are honestly my favorite and so comfortable to walk in despite their height. I recently got the sandal version for summer and can attest to saying they're just as chic and comfy to sport around. Now, the yellow cardigan with pink sequins is what gives this outfit all of its charm. You cannot help but smile when looking at it. I never specifically need a reason to wear sequins either, haha! Just because is good enough for me. I typically do not wear too many cardigans, but could not pass this one up. It has such a vintage vibe and the prettiest sparkle to it. I'm wearing an xx-small for reference.

Weekend Style

Happy Friday!! This Sunday is Superbowl Sunday, which means hopefully a good game and some pretty awesome commercials. I'll be rooting for the Patriots. Anyone else excited for the big game??

A combo I'll never tire of is stripes with anything haha. Honestly, you can never go wrong with stripes. I layered up with a military jacket topped off with my camel coat. I know I had mentioned before how I typically never used to wear sneakers, but lately companies have really been stepping up their game in the sneaker department. There are so many chic choices now a days! These are a subtle pink and fit true to size.

Just a quick post for today. I hope everyone enjoys their weekend and if you're watching the Super Bowl then I hope you have fun watching the game! Go Patriots!!

Crazy For Camel

Camel Top Coat || Camel Sweater || White Skinny Jeans || Tory Burch Bag || Marc Fisher Camel Heels (So comfy, wore these walking around all day long) || Similar Pink Touch Technology Gloves, Long and Short || Freyrs Sunglasses c/o || Camel Circle Scarf || Humble Chic Earrings c/o || Karl Lagerfeld Watch c/o || Lip Color: Ava ||

One color I've been crushing on lately is camel. It pairs with literally anything and is the perfect neutral to wear throughout the year. It's a good color to buy some staple items in (think coats, bags, sweaters) seeing as how it never goes out of style and always feels classically cool. For instance, this camel topcoat, which I've been wearing non-stop (size XXS) is polished and a staple item to carry you through the fall and winter seasons. It works for a night out on the town, at the office, running weekend errands, basically anything you can think of. I initially was only going to pair white with camel for this look, but found these beautiful embellished touch technology gloves at a local boutique called BRASHhh in Rehoboth Beach and could not resist. The rosy blush color is another one of my favorites for the season!

Happy Cyber Monday, friends! I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends. My dad, Ava, and I took a weekend trip to Rehoboth Beach for their annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony. It's always such a fun and festive event with everyone filled to the brim with Christmas cheer. After gathering around the tree everyone sings carols for about half an hour and then the tree is lit. This was the outfit I wore for the festivities. Luckily, the weather turned out to be very mild which meant only some layering was needed during the day. A fun little tidbit, try layering your vest over your blazer instead of under.  I'm also loving this new Karl Lagerfeld watch. Blue and rose gold are one of my favorite color combos and you can never go wrong with some cool sophistication. Above are some of the Cyber Monday deals going on right now from companies that I'm constantly wearing!

Valley Forge Layering

One of my favorite trips that my dad and I take each year is to Valley Forge. The national park is beyond beautiful with scenic views every where you turn. I am always at peace when I visit the park and find it to be so relaxing. Only a few minutes down the road is the famous King of Prussia mall and shopping district. You would never know there is a city or even a larger one (Philadelphia) nearby when you're actually at the park. It's a world onto itself.  I have a very special place in my heart for the area since Justin and I had lived nearby early in our relationship and then my dad and I started taking this weekend trip for his podiatry seminars.

The weather for the trip was insanely gorgeous. Clear blue sapphire skies with the golden sun shinning down creating warm days that are usually hard to find in November. A simple blazer was enough to be comfortable throughout the day. I wanted a relaxed weekend country look for being around the park using a red, pink, and blue color combo. An easy way to layer that isn't too bulky is to start with a tissue thin turtleneck followed by a button down shirt either tucked in or not. Top that off with a blazer and you're all set!
