Good morning and happy Thursday! Today I’m excited to bring you the latest Glossybox for March, which is celebrating true beauty for International Women’s Day. We’re reflecting on those amazing ladies in our lives who lead by example, lifting us up when we need it, and singing along side of us when we're feeling fabulous. For me, that woman who I admire for her strength, perseverance, ability to do-it-all, and never give up even when life was unfair to her is my mom. She was strong, warm, kind, and represented true beauty to me inside and out. I could not have asked for a better role model or mother. I miss her every single day of my life. Likewise, I’m also teaching all of the qualities my mother instilled in me to my beautiful daughter. My mother’s love and beauty shines bright from within Ava. 

Now, without further ado, onto the beauty box. I love receiving these boxes monthly boxes. It’s like a mini Christmas every time! I’m wearing the eyeshadow stick that’s included and also the concealer and makeup primer all of which I’ll preview below with the product descriptions. This months box is filled with hard-working, multi-benefit products that will keep you looking and feeling like the girl boss you are.  

Cover FX Perfect Pencil Concealer: Tie versatile tool can be used to define lip and eyebrow arches and conceal trouble spots in an instant. This formula is also waterproof. I thought this did a great job at covering up little imperfections like a single pimple here and there. 

Figs & Rouge Soft Focus Pore Perfect + Matte Veil: Seeking a gorgeous completing? This is your new go-to! Designed to keep skin shine-free and perfect all day, this lightweight primer smooths away imperfections and minimizes the look of pores. Another benefit? The multifunctional formula also gifts blemishes, promising nothing but clear days ahead. This went on so smooth and helped my makeup go on even smoother with little shine throughout the day. Definitely a keeper!   

Form Beauty Multitask: 3 in 1 Leave In Lotion: This 3 in 1 hair perfected will detangle, soften, and refresh your look in one go. Designed to also strengthen your strands against breakage, this nutritive mist, which is infused with coconut oil, Arian oil, avocado oil, and grapeseed oil will keep any style, from beach waves to tight braids, looking fierce. 

 Dw Bruyère Beauté Jumbo Eye Pencil- Bubble 07: Ladies on the go will love this super creamy jumbo eye pencil in the perfect shade of khaki, which can be used as an eyeliner or an eyeshadow. This is definitely a gorgeous color for everyday use and can be layered on for a more dramatic take. 

 Morgan Taylor Professional Nail Lacquer: Leave it to the nail pros to perfect a lawyer line, available in shades ranging from barely there to deep indigo, that looks as good on day ten as day one. Apply two thin layers, seal with a top coat.

Glossybox Sealed With A Kiss

Happy Tuesday, friends!  Today I’m bringing you all of the goodies from the February edition of Glossybox’s monthly beauty box. Their campaign for this month is all about “sealed with a kiss” and includes two great lip products! This was soooo much fun to photograph! The box is incredibly cute, but even cuter is my little Ava wanting to be a part of it. She was all about the roses and even handed one to me, which melted my heart. Now when I say, “I love you, Ava” so replies back, “I love you too, Mommy.” Be still my beating heart! Those are the most beautiful words ever for a mom to hear. Of course, Batman got a ton of love from Ava too. She made sure he had many roses. He’s her secret crush, haha. #bemyvalentine. Now, onto the beauty products!

April 2017 Glossybox

Happy Friday, everyone! Another month means another beauty box from Glossybox, a monthly subscription box filled with beauty goodies to delight. Each product in this months box is literally so good. I've used them all and so far I am pleasantly surprised by their results! My favorites are the the matte lip colors from Colourpop Cosmetics. I'm wearing the shade Tuesday in the above photos and love how creamy smooth it is with a highly pigmented color that is 100% kiss proof! Below is a list of what you'll find in April's box.

  1. Doucce Maxlash Volumizer Mascara: This mascara will intensify your lashes with both volume and length. Yes, please! The brush is big and fluffy, which glides though lashes evenly, coating them with a velvet carbon black formula.
  2. Vasanti Cosmetics Birghten Up! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator: This triple acting formula brightens and breaks down dead skin with papaya enzyme, exfoliates with micro-crystals to help smooth your skin's surface, and cleanses with an aloe-enriched cream gel. As I get older, I definitely notice my skin becoming dull and need formulas like this one to keep my skin looking fresh. I read that if you are in your 20s, you should exfoliate twice a week. If you are in your 30s, then you should exfoliate three times a week.
  3. Colourpop Cosmetics Ultra Matte Lip: As I said above, this was my favorite product from the box. The colors are highly pigmented, 100% kiss proof, and have a creamy texture with a matte finish. It glides on smooth and leaves a bold look. Love!
  4. Beauty Shampoo And Conditioner: The Beauty Shampoo and Conditioner work with all hair types and is safe for everyday use and for color-treated hair. I noticed immediately how soft and smooth my hair was after using these, plus they smell great!
  5. Vince Camuto Ciao Eau De Parfum: Ciao celebrates the spontaneity and energy of the modern woman's lifestyle. With notes including Italian Mandarin, rose, jasmine, Indonesian Patchouli, and Glowing Amber, that is sure to become your new favorite!
  6. Aromafloria For Feet's Sake Intense Repair Spa Foot Butter: I put this on after I got out of the shower and then went to bed. The next day my feet were so soft! A must for sandal season. This combines shea butter, vitamin E, tea tree and mint, leaving skin moisturized and feeling fresh.

I hope everyone has a beautiful and lovely Easter weekend spent with family, loved ones, and friends! I can't wait for little Ava to find her Easter basket from the bunny. I'm so excited to watch her explore for it this year.

Hello and happy Thursday! Things have been crazy busy for me lately, which makes me appreciate these monthly beauty boxes from Glossy Box even more. For a busy mom on the go, these are essential for getting some beauty goodies! Below is a list of what's included for March and some details about them. I'm personally loving the Rose Eye Shadow Palette from Catrice Cosmetics. You know I'm a sucker for anything rose gold inspired!

Never Stop Dreaming

This one is for the dreamers. Last night was the 74th Golden Globes awards show. Did anyone else watch it?? I love awards season. I seriously get as giddy as a school girl watching these shows, haha! There were so many great moments, especially if you love tv and movies and get all of the little inside jokes. Congrats to La La Land for winning all 7 of their nominations. They are now the most awarded film in Golden Globes history! I was clapping so hard. It's exciting when a film genre, movie musicals, that isn't as popular anymore gets all of the awards. Oh my, Emma Stone and Ryan Gossling too. Need I say more?! Both of their acceptance speeches for the movie had me feeling some kind of wonderful. Emma's resonated so strong with me.

 I had made my New Years goal earlier in the day when I was thinking of my #glossygoal for their January campaign. I came up with "Never Stop Dreaming." My dad gave me a mug for Christmas with that phrase on it and I kept thinking about it since then. My dad has always been one of my biggest supporters to chase after my dreams and its a goal I want to teach Ava about when she gets older. During Emma's acceptance speech later that night she said, "this is a film for dreamers, and I think that hope and creativity are two of the most important things in the world and that's what this movie is about." So to 2017, I plan to never stop dreaming of all that can be possible in this life. To peruse those dreams and to never give up. To always have hope for a better tomorrow.
